MIDMEKI – X-RAY FOR LARGE PRODUCTS

The options for quality control in the food industry have long been limited. Until now there were only simple metal detectors on one hand and high-price X-ray systems on the other. With Mekitec, you finally have the choice.

MIDMEKI quality control system uses the latest X-ray image processing technology. With this system, we expand our unique product line with a system that combines the benefits of our compact MEKI™ with a wider conveyor and significantly larger detection area.

It is especially designed for the inspection of larger food products and trays of smaller products. High moisture, salt content or different type of packaging materials (like metal) are not a problem for the inspection.

MIDMEKI requires the least amount of installation space in the production line compared to any other comparable X-ray system. Like with MEKI™, with MIDMEKI we focus on what is important and necessary in an X-ray for a food producer, so we can deliver the best value to Mekitec’s most valuable asset – our customer.

MIDMEKI is especially suitable for the inspection of packaged products and trays with several products. For application with smaller products, please refer to the datasheet MEKI.

The options for quality control in the food industry have long been limited. Until now there were only simple metal detectors on one hand and high-price X-ray systems on the other. With Mekitec, you finally have the choice.

MEKI is an automated product quality control system using the latest X-ray image processing technology. The system images the inside of food products detecting foreign objects (e.g. metal, stones, glass, bones and dense plastics), simultaneously ensuring the overall quality, such as form and shape, completeness and integrity, and presence or lack of presence. High moisture, salt content or different type of packaging materials (like metal) are not a problem for the inspection.

MEKI requires the least amount of installation space in the production line compared to any other X-ray quality control system. Mekitec focuses on what is necessary and important in an X-ray for a food producer, so we can deliver the best value to Mekitec’s most valuable asset – our customer.

This trend towards primary packaging inspection is now available for side-view applications, such as PET bottles and containers.

The SIDEMEKI™ system is designed for production lines where the food is in packages that are taller than wider, such as bottles, cartons, containers and cans. Ensuring smooth production flow is essential with these packaging types setting a higher expectation for the design of the inspection equipment.

That’s why SIDEMEKI™ is completely lead curtain-free X-ray system, equipped with secure product guides ensuring the food packages transfer effortlessly through, the system is also equipped with various sensors that monitor the system and its functionalities, making SIDEMEKI truly self- monitoring Critical Control Point.

SIDEMEKI™ is the only quality control solution offering food producers a choice to select one or two X-ray generators based on the exact need for the product inspection.
